Phyllis Gene Reid

Phyllis Gene Reid was born May 19, 1935 in Knox City, Texas to Weston and Elma Butts and came to California as a young child. Her family settled in Harmony and Phyllis attended school in Strathmore. She married Eddie William Reid January 6, 1952 and worked as a Librarian for many years. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she enjoyed reading, sewing, taking walks, working in her home and being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She also loved her pets and she loved all the babies at church. She was a woman of faith and loved going to church.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Reid; by a son Gale Reid; by a sister Orlanda Hanni and a brother Weston Butts. She is survived by her daughters Ralynda Sinclair of Seattle, WA, Rhonda Fishbaugh of Strathmore and Sonya Campos of Porterville; her sons Rodney Reid and Anthony Reid, both of Tulare; sisters Diann Barber and Joann Butts as well as 12 grandchildren including Kelee Wood Schiff and 15 great grandchildren including Rafe Cranford and Ace Reid and 3 great, great grandchildren.
