Violet Rose White

Violet Rose White, 80 of Lindsay, went home to be with our Lord and Saviour on Sunday, March 31, 2019 after an extended illness. She was a resident of Lindsay, California for 60 years. Violet was born February 2, 1939 in Belmond, Iowa and was always proud of the fact that as a little girl, she lived down the street from Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the children’s books Little House on the Prairie series. Violet was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Ethel Marie Pedersen; her grandma Lovisa Jane McElroy; her husband Thomas Joseph White Sr.; her siblings Bill, Mildred, Wilma, Virginia, Larry and Charlotte. She is survived by her daughter Alicia White Whitworth and husband James Whitworth; her son Tom White; her brother Henry Pedersen; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was a member of Visalia First Free Will Baptist Church and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to Visalia First Free Will Baptist Church, Glenn Barrett Treasurer, 1607 W. Dorthea Ave., Visalia, Ca 93277
