Dorothy Marie Willard

March 28, 2024 Dorothy Marie Willard left this side of life at the age of 79 in Porterville California. She was born August 9, 1944 at Delano California to John Henry Duncan and Onad David Duncan. She married the love of her life, her soulmate Clifford Lee Willard on July 15, 1966 at Terra Bella California. Dorothy and Clifford was blessed with a son Daniel Clifford Clay Willard and a daughter Hannah Rebekah Marie Herman. As a child Dorothy worked in agriculture. She held many positions: seamstress, cashier, factory worker, motel housekeeper, newspaper mail clerk, proof reader, dry cleaner-laundromat clerk, tobacco stripper, CNA, home health aide, administrative assistant, bookkeeper assistant, bell ringer, law library assistant, self-employed paralegal, teacher assistant, preacher, elevator operator, bank and office custodian, switchboard operator, information desk clerk, Genealogist, investigator. Her final position at retirement was switchboard operator/information desk clerk at Sierra View Hospital in Porterville California. Dorothy liked to crochet, write poems and songs, singing and stories. She enjoyed working on her family tree. She traced her family back to Adam and Eve as well. She enjoyed helping her siblings who were separated due to adoption reunite after decades of separation and locating a reuniting a neighbors brothers who he had not seen in over 25 years. She is survived by her son Daniel (Jennifer) daughter Hannah Herman (Mike) grandson Jeremiah Willard, granddaughters Nadine Willard Winters (Daniel), Juliet Whitehead, Deona Whitehead-Luevanos (Joseph) 2 sisters Betty Stamper and Norma Collins and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, her mother and father, her brother Johnnie Davis Duncan, her sisters Edith McGuire, Mary Mallett, Nadine Caples, Vivian Deans.
