James Bain Obituary

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26 at 11:00 A.M. at Lindsay Cemetery for James Athal Bain, 80, of Carson City, Nevada and formerly of Lindsay who passed away March 15, 2021 at his home.

James was born September 25, 1940 in Montauk, Missouri to Vernon Athal and Cora Mae Bain. He worked as a shipping supervisor for LoBue Bro’s in Lindsay, Ca for over 40 years and resided in the Lindsay and Porterville area until his retirement to Carson City, Nevada. James was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Cora Bain; daughters Saundra Kay Bain and Jamie Ilene Bain; siblings Vivian Lorraine Hooper and Annabelle Hallford. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dana Bain of Carson City; children Sherri Byers (Jeff) of Carson City, NV, Angela Olives of Lindsay, OK., Steven Olives (Joy) of Valley Springs, CA., Shonna Tavares (Marco) of Bakersfield, CA., 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Lindsay Kay Dempsey (Roy) of Mojave, CA along with numerous loved nieces and nephews and friends. A special heartfelt thanks to Eden Hospice for their attentive and loving care for James, from Fran and Alyson and especially Mary Jane who was with him from the very beginning to the very end. Their kindness and compassion was unsurpassed and highly appreciated. No public visitation is planned.
