Logan Conner Cassidy, born to William Lloyd Cassidy and Leah Rachelle Smith, passed away the first week of June, 2021. Logan left behind two sisters, Lillian Elaine Cassidy, and Tierney Kaitlyn Goodnight and a step-brother, Richard Smith. As a child, Logan enjoyed dinosaurs, trains, and carrying around random items in his pockets to fidget with (especially mom’s Pampered Chef bag clips). Logan grew up to graduate from Summit Charter Collegiate Academy High School, and attended Porterville College, before going to work at his local Save Mart store. Still carrying around those same bag clips from his childhood, Logan enjoyed walking to and from work, and his kickboxing class each week. Logan’s extracurriculars weren’t what made him special though. What made him so unique was his kind heart and complete selflessness. Logan spent his first side-job paycheck buying food, a tent, and blankets for a man he met outside Starbucks who had lost everything. He carried on this tradition by providing for those in need that sat outside his place of work, and by learning both left handed and right handed moves in his kickboxing class so he could help others that might be struggling. For Logan, he didn’t realize the impact he had on those around him and simply did whatever he could to ensure no one was ever left out, his loved ones were taken care of, and that he extended a helping hand even if no one was watching. Logan truly was the best of us, and the world simply couldn’t handle a heart as big as his.
Logan’s Celebration of Life ceremony, will be held at the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, 15550 N Redwood Rd, Porterville, on Saturday, June 19th at 10 am.
